#22. How does a camera work? How a DSLR camera works ?

How does a camera work?

Every single day people pause their moments and turning them digitally.  Every day more than 1.8 billion images broadcasted on the internet

You are in the right place.
This is the story that describes how does a camera work.

Imagine a room without a window, door and lights. If you get inside the room you are unable to see anything because there is no light. If you take a torchlight then you can see everything. The light ray falls on the object then the object reflects the light ray and the reflected ray falls on our eyes. Now we are able to see the object.

The camera is simply a box with a sole hole. Through the hole, all reflected light rays from the object entered into the box. On the opposite side of the hole, some light-sensitive chemicals ( silver nitrate)are taken. As the reflected light ray falling on the sensitive material, it absorbs the light and give us an image. This is the concept of how a camera works.

After the invention of the camera. The camera industry is in the process of booming. We use lenses to reduce the speed of light. Digital sensor is used to click the clear shot.

How a DSLR camera works?

Now we use DSLR ( Digital single-lens reflex) cameras for the deceased photography. In DSLR there is an aperture,  reflex mirror, shutter speed,  ISO.  Through Aperture, light goes through the lens. Making a smaller aperture you get less light in your camera and larger aperture you get more light into your camera. The reflex mirror used to reflect the image into viewfinder. Shutter speed measure for how much time the shutter stays opens. The more the shutter speed the brighter the image will be. Camera sensor has a sensitivity level, it is known as ISO. Higher ISO makes bright images and lower ISO results in less bright pictures.
