Tactile theory of Light:
This theory is based upon the ability to touch the light. We are unable to touch light. We fell the heat which is then converted part of light energy. When light falls on a thing it may be absorbed or Reflects. If the light is absorbed then the thing gets heat up. And as it reflects, Reflected ray come into our eyes and we see the thing upon which the light falls. These are the ways to feel the presence of light.
Quantum theory of Light:
After many theories about light like emission theory, corpuscular theory, wave theory, and electromagnetic theory we reached at Quantum theory of light. This theory describes both Light and Matter consists of small particle, which have wave-like properties. Matter consisting of electrons, proton, and neutron, similarly Light consists of Photons. Diffraction and Interference shows the wave behavior of light. Then the Photoelectric effect shows the particle nature of light.
